Big Things with God - GOD'S BIG PLANS FOR YOU

Last Sunday Discovery Point: Big Things with God -  GOD'S BIG PLANS FOR YOU Today we learned that if we are obedient and willing to follow where God leads us, we can do many things that will bring God glory. We can rely on God to give us the strength, wisdom and love we need to get the job done. No job is too big for God. God is such a loving father, that He allows us to participate in His plans. He guides us and helps us grow in so many ways. He is wonderful. (Scripture used: Psalm 33:16-18, Psalm 91:14-16, Psalm 118:24-26) Memory Verse: "For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11 NIV Suggested Parent/Child Activity: God uses the common to do the uncommon. God takes those who are weak and makes them strong. Help your child begin to find and utilize both the spiritual and physical gifts God has given him or her. Ensure that your child

Last Sunday Discovery Point: Big Things with God -  ESTHER HELPS GOD'S PEOPLE Today's lesson was about Esther, a godly woman who put the needs of others before her own. She was a courageous woman that stepped out in faith, putting her own life on the line to save God's people. (Scripture used: Esther 4:5-5:5)  Memory Verse: "Blessed are those who act justly, who always do what is right." Psalm 106:3 NIV Suggested Parent/Child Activity: Together with your child, make a list of the seven most godly women you know. Discuss what sets these women apart from others in the community Daily Prayer: Heavenly Father, please give us the courage to accomplish the tasks You put before us, just as You did for Esther so many years ago. May the hardships in life help mold us into the people You wish us to become. At all times and in all things, let us take comfort in knowing that You alone are God and we are your children. Amen. Remi

ast Sunday Discovery Point: Used by God -  THE BODY OF CHRIST Today the children learned that we are all part of the Body of Christ, and in unity we should work towards the common good. All gifts are important to God, needed in the Church, and no one is too young to help in some way. (Scripture used: 1 Corinthians 12:12-27) Memory Verse: "Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it." 1 Corinthians 12:27 NIV Suggested Parent/Child Activity: Think back to last week when you discussed some of the Spiritual Gifts possessed by members of your church. Choose two or three these people, and along with your child write a thank you letter, create a greeting card, or simply make a point to visit them soon to let them know how important their contribution is to the church, and to you. Daily Prayer: Dear God, You made all of us different, yet very special. Although I am young, I know I am important to You. Thank
