April Children Worship: Living A Fruitful Life - Right Priorities

Discovery Point:  Living A Fruitful Life - Right Priorities Today, the children learned that they should give Jesus a special priority in their lives. Like adults, children are very busy. They also want to have as much fun as possible, and God often takes a back seat. It is important to put Jesus first.

Scripture used: Luke 10:38-42
Memory Verse: "But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.” Matthew 6:33 NIV

Practice this verse several times with your child during the week. This will not only help him or her to remember the verse, but also it will reinforce what he or she learned during class.

Suggested Parent/Child Activity: Discuss with your child how she or he can put Jesus first in the following areas:
1. In his or her room 2. When watching television
3. In school
4. In church
5. When listening to music
6. Before going to bed

Daily Prayer: Dear Lord, help me grow nearer to You each and every day. Let me give Jesus the h…

Good Friday Activities for Families

[Brought to you by childrensministry.com and Group Publishing]

Good Friday is the day that Jesus died on the cross. It's typically a solemn day for Christians as we consider the suffering Jesus endured. Because we know the end of the story, though, we can make this an enjoyable opportunity for children to learn what Christ's death means to them.

1.  Good Friday Discovery: Carry the Burden
As a reminder of Jesus' suffering on the cross, give each family member a small pebble to place in their shoe for the day. It'll be uncomfortable but not unbearable. Then at dinner, talk about how it felt to carry that burden all day and what Jesus' suffering means to you.

2.  Why, Jesus?
Here's a quick but powerful activity to explain to kids why Jesus died on the cross. Give kids sticky notepads and ask them to write down things they have done wrong and stick the notes on themselves. As they do this, quickly come by, take their notes, and stick them on you. This leads the way …

Kidz Club - April Lesson

Lesson materials are from [The Gospel Project for Kids - Worship Hour]

Dear Parents:
The Sunday before Easter is Palm Sunday—the day Jesus entered Jerusalem as the King of kings the week of Passover. Many of God’s people traveled to Jerusalem for Passover. Jesus and His disciples traveled to Jerusalem as well. Near Bethphage (BETH fayj) and Bethany near the Mount of Olives, Jesus sent two disciples ahead into a village to bring a donkey to Him.

Jesus made a spectacular entrance into the city. He rode the donkey, and people laid branches and their robes on the ground in front of Him. The people welcoming Jesus into Jerusalem believed He was the promised Messiah, but they expected Him to overthrow Roman oppression and set up an earthly throne. Jesus sent a different message.

The next day, Jesus entered the temple and turned over the tables of the money changers and those selling doves. Jesus referred to Isaiah 56:7, declaring that His kingship would not just be over the Jews but over all…

CCAC COVID-19 Plan UPDATES

An update from our church leadership...

Dear CCAC family,

You have been in our thoughts and prayers these past few weeks as we have all faced the reality of COVID-19. This pandemic has affected every country, every city, every community, and every person. Our prayer has been that God would turn hearts and minds to Himself during this time of crisis, and pour out His mercy and grace to all people.

CCAC has continued to pray and discern what to do in this challenging time. How do we continue to care for and serve our brothers and sisters? And how do we act in the most loving and considerate ways to our neighbours and fellow citizens? As a result of our prayer and discernment, we want to instruct brothers and sisters to follow the guidelines and restrictions set for us by our health authorities and government. As a church, we will abide fully with these restrictions, understanding that this is the best way for us to demonstrate our support and contribute to the success of overcoming this…
